Julien Audebert, Bagdad mon amour, Institut des Cultures d’Islam, Paris, March 29 – July 29, 2018

Julien Audebert is be part of the exhibition Bagdad mon amour at the Institut des Cultures d’Islam, Paris. This exhibition pays tribute to Hiroshima mon amour, masterpiece of Alain Resnais written by Marguerite Duras, to evoke the conflicts, looting and destruction in Iraq through the work of artists. Taking up the figure of the metaphor, omnipresent in the film, the exhibition proposes a journey among works of modern and contemporary art that appropriate the architectures, symbols and objects of the past as means of survival of an identity in danger.
