divers, 50 m\u00e8tres de long, Klosterruine, Berlin\/DE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comptant plus de 900 briques, <em>anything anything<\/em> de Kate Newby se d\u00e9ploie en deux rang\u00e9es courbes de 50 m\u00e8tres de long chacune, int\u00e9gr\u00e9es au sol du monast\u00e8re berlinois. Deux lignes qui \u00e9voquent un parcours liturgique disparu au sein du Klosterruine d\u00e9saffect\u00e9, cette architecture gothique dat\u00e9e du XIIIe si\u00e8cle. Une structure en brique locale qui englobe des \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019un \u00e9difice encore ant\u00e9rieur. Cette composition s\u2019att\u00e8le \u00e0 une appr\u00e9hension du lieu comme sujet \u00e0 d\u2019in\u00e9vitables \u00e9volutions. Un travail ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologique qui s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la modification des perceptions, d\u2019appr\u00e9hension de l\u2019architecture, permis par une \u0153uvre qui oscille entre apparition et disparition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ici, l\u2019artiste n\u00e9o-z\u00e9landaise renouvelle sa collaboration avec les ateliers fran\u00e7ais Rairies Montrieux. Une coop\u00e9ration qui s\u2019explique par l\u2019h\u00e9ritage artisanal que Kate Newby revendique dans sa pratique. Ils ont produit des briques \u00ab&nbsp;Lumi\u00e8re&nbsp;\u00bb, un m\u00e9lange laiteux r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de quatre types d\u2019argiles et cuit au four \u00e0 bois. Ce mod\u00e8le pyramidal est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9 pour la r\u00e9alisation de fa\u00e7ades. Un format uniformis\u00e9, produit \u00e0 la cha\u00eene auquel l\u2019artiste se confronte : elle grave, sculpte, remod\u00e8le, rendant chaque brique singuli\u00e8re. Des motifs dans la mati\u00e8re et autres inclusions color\u00e9es qui lui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inspir\u00e9s par l\u2019observation de l\u2019environnement urbain et de ses alt\u00e9rations, sp\u00e9cifiquement le vieillissement de la brique. Son travail sculptural minutieux se r\u00e9v\u00e8le dans les d\u00e9tails, selon une approche particuli\u00e8re qui rappelle les perspectives post-minimalistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec <em>anything anything<\/em>, Klosterruine est pens\u00e9 comme un lieu de rencontre entre l\u2019histoire et la production contemporaine. Un projet qui illustre une s\u00e9dimentation, une fusion, \u00e0 la fois de la mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 et des temporalit\u00e9s. L\u2019installation est semblable \u00e0 des topographies miniatures, qui interagissent avec l\u2019environnement, s\u2019activent au gr\u00e9 de la nature&nbsp;: la pluie qui s\u2019infiltre, les feuilles prisent dans ses tranch\u00e9es, la poussi\u00e8re qui s\u2019y coince\u2026 Kate Newby r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit l\u2019espace comme un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me, posant un cadre social et culturel.
