On the altana of Palazzo Querini a Ca\u2019 Bal\u00e0, a typical Venetian rooftop terrace, Palazzo Bentivoglio inaugurates with Jeremy Deller the first episode of extra BENTIVOGLIO \u2014 the spin-off bringing outside the historic Bolognese building the activities born within it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Constant Buzz of a Drone is a site-specific intervention visible from the Ponte de Ca\u2019 Bal\u00e0, the Giudecca, and the church of the Redentore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years, Deller has worked with the language of advertising: slogans, archives, found texts, actions in public space. The banner \u2014 a historic tool of trade unions and political movements \u2014 becomes in his hands an explicit declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gesture of solidarity towards the victims of all contemporary conflicts, evoking that sound \u2014 the buzz of the drone \u2014 which for many is the last they will ever hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
