In May 2025, the Frac-Artoth\u00e8que Nouvelle-Aquitaine will be opening the doors of its new building with Paysages recommenc\u00e9s, an inaugural exhibition curated by Yannick Miloux. The exhibition is divided into a series of evolving sequences, and will run throughout the building until the end of the year, showcasing the work of over 70 artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition is structured around the theme of landscape, a recurring motif in the history of art, continually reinterpreted by artists in response to their social, political and ideological contexts. Through a dialogue between periods and practices, it highlights the way in which each generation revisits this subject. Its title borrows a phrase from Andr\u00e9 Raffray (1920-2010), a film illustrator known for re-enacting and re-staging the masterpieces of modern art. Somewhere between homage and exploration, Paysages recommenc\u00e9s invites us to rediscover this motif through multiple prisms, discourses and media, testifying to its richness and capacity to be constantly reinvented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
