Art : Concept is pleased to present Gobbler<\/em> by Caroline Achaintre, in collaboration with von Bartha, at this year’s Unlimited sector by Art Basel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caroline Achaintre\u2019s work oscillates between object and subject, evoking a powerful presence that explores the concept of the uncanny. She draws inspiration from multiple references such as European carnival traditions, futurist and postmodern museum architecture, science fiction, prehistoric art, and animism (the belief that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence). \u201cI process anything that triggers my imagination,\u201d says Achaintre, \u201cseeking the fantastical and superimposed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
